The style of a dog collar depends on the size and disposition of a dog according to the training needs. Ideally, a traditional collar of nylon or leather is the best for s dog. Such collars are available in many styles, colors as well as widths. The collar should not be loose but should be placed high on the neck of the dog. There should be a room of two fingers between the neck of the dog and his collar. It should not be loose so that it slips over the head of the dog. It should not be so tight that it restricts breathing and induces coughing. Collar size should be checked in puppies. A nametag should be attached to the collar.
